Love the color of dark copper
With shades of deep brown
Swirls of bottomless black
Lives in a loud humming silence

Somewhere sidewalks are full
Lights light up the night
Sirens wail
Loud speakers fill the ears

And of course there are tears
They be as one
Not aware
Of what they have become

They exist
Within folds of stillness
No longer aware of their beings
Wind whips the snow off the highest peaks

Sun on bare black rock
Creates blinding white light
